|Purpose:||Once a classification is selected on the Position Information Tab, this page shows any existing job standards or benchmarks associated with the classification. This information can be used to determine if the correct classification was chosen, and to provide descriptive information that might be useful in drafting the position. Select a different employment group and job code on the Position Information Tab if job requirements do not fit the job standard/benchmark.|
|Workflow:||If you click the Submit button, faculty positions are sent to Faculty Relations, M&P positions to Human Resources (HR), and BCGEU positions to Okanagan HR. See the button descriptions below for more information.|

Staff job standard/benchmark
|Staff Job Standard/Benchmark||Y||If a job standard or benchmark exists for the classification entered on the previous tab, it will appear here. The minimum education and work experience information from the standard/benchmark is carried forward to the Qualifications Tab (next tab).|
Note: The buttons available change depending on your security access or the current status of the position.
|Submit . . .||Depending on which Submit button is available, the appropriate action will be taken. Note: You may see different buttons based on the changes you are making to the position.
If any approvals are required, the position will be routed to the department and central approvers as defined in your workflow rules.
|Save for Later||Click this button if you wish to save the position but are not finished, or don’t want to submit it for approval at this time. You can return later to complete and submit. When you do a save for later, your position will have a draft status.|
|Cancel/Return||Click this button to return to the search list. If you have not saved your position, you will be prompted to make a decision to save or abandon.|
|Previous||Click this button to move to the previous tab.|
|Next||Click this button to move to the next tab.|
