The funding pool for CUPE 2950 staff is expected to be exhausted by the end of August or earlier – make use of your CUPE 2950 PD funds now!
As of August 20, 2025, approximately $32,000 remains in the CUPE 2950 Professional Development (PD) Fund for the current UBC fiscal year (April 1, 2025 – March 31, 2026).
We have seen strong interest in professional development this year, and based on current usage, the fund budget is expected to be fully allocated by Monday, August 25—or sooner.
Once the fund is fully used, eligible claims from CUPE 2950 staff will not be accepted or reimbursed in Workday until the next funding year begins on April 1, 2026.
To make the most of this resource, we encourage interested CUPE 2950 staff to plan their learning activities now and make use of their PD funds as soon as possible.
Before submitting a claim, CUPE 2950 staff should:
- Check the current funding pool balance on the Staff PD Fund webpage – updated daily
- Check your own PD fund balance in Workday
- Review the funding process and guidelines provided on the Staff PD Fund webpage before making purchases
