UBC is committed to building mentally healthy workplaces where all employees can thrive.
Since 2015, UBC has been an active participant in the Canadian Mental Health Association’s Not Myself Today® (NMT) initiative. NMT is an evidence-informed initiative that aims to help employers and employees enhance mental health in the workplace by increasing awareness and understanding, reducing stigma and fostering safe and supportive work cultures.
We encourage you and your departments to consider joining our community of NMT Ambassadors to champion this initiative within UBC. By registering, you receive access to online resources prepared to inspire understanding and action for better workplace mental health.
The NMT online platform includes learning tools, activities and resources you can use to plan and implement the initiative in your workplace in the way that works best for you at any time of the year.
Here is what some participants had to say about last year’s NMT campaign:
“I liked having discussions about mental health openly with colleagues every day.”
“I really liked the engagement and interactive nature of the activities.”
“It was a great variety of events and resources and having it for over one month shows commitment to supporting workplace wellbeing.”
To learn more about the program, sign up for our NMT orientation on Wednesday October 21 at 12pm.
If you have any questions about NMT initiative or registration, please reach out to Crystal Hutchinson.
