Explore the new toolkit for managers: Intro to Managing Underperformance

A new toolkit has been developed for managers and people leaders to guide the process of managing underperformance.

The Advisory Services team at Central HR is pleased to share a new step-by-step guide that managers and people leaders can use in circumstances related to managing underperformance of direct reports.  This toolkit provides managers with an introduction to the processes to consider when they suspect a staff member is underperforming, and resources available in these situations.

The toolkit covers four key steps when managing underperformance:
  1. Identify the Issues
  2. Meet with your team member to discuss the issues
  3. Agree to a plan of action
  4. Monitor performance

We encourage you to share this toolkit with any managers or leaders who may find it helpful.

Note: the toolkit is available on the Manager/Admin section of the HR website and is accessible via CWL login. If redirected to a different landing page after logging in, simply click the original link again for direct access.
