Optional Life Insurance

UBC’s Optional Life Insurance Plan provides supplementary life insurance coverage in addition to your Basic Group Life Insurance.

There are two options for your supplemental life insurance coverage, to help provide additional financial protection for you and your family:
  • Optional Life Insurance
  • Optional Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance.
You can purchase Optional Life Insurance to a maximum of $750,000 for both you and your spouse, and if you choose to extend your coverage to accidental death and dismemberment, this coverage must match the amount of Optional Life Insurance coverage.
