Salary changes and retroactive pay: What it means for your payslip, tax slip and UBC Pension Plan
From time to time, salary increases are implemented after they take effect. When that happens, employees receive retroactive pay – a payment issued now but for work done in a past period. For example, a General Wage Increase is effective July 1, 2025 but paid in 2026.

We are pleased to share that a four-year renewal of the Collective Agreement between the University and CUPE 2950 has been ratified by all parties and is now in full effect. This agreement covers the period April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2029.
