Managing@UBC is now accepting applications for the 2021/2022 cohort through August 13

Managing at UBC is a leadership development program designed to equip newer managers with the foundational skills, knowledge and tools to succeed and grow in leadership roles at UBC.

This program is open to M&P employees who manage direct report(s) for three years or less, and who can commit to engage fully in program offerings and assignments.

Visit the Managing at UBC website to apply. The deadline is Friday, August 13 at 4:30 p.m. Note: interested applicants must receive approval from their direct manager/supervisor to participate in the program. 

About the 2021/2022 program 
Managing@UBC will take place from October 2021 to May 2022. All sessions will be online. Over eight-months, managers from across the university will learn best practices and share experiences, opportunities, and challenges on topics related to leading self, leading teams, and leading within the organization.

To earn a certificate of completion, participants will be expected to:

  • Attend online workshops
  • Develop a personalized learning path
  • Participate in six one-hour peer learning circles
