CUPE 2950 and Management & Professional employees can now claim Indigenous health services

With the introduction of the Personal Spending Account (PSA) at the start of 2024 there are even more services that you can access.

And with the focus on Indigenous History Month in June, and National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21, we wanted to highlight that eligible CUPE 2950 and Management & Professional employees now have access to traditional Indigenous healing services. These services include:

  • Traditional Indigenous Healers and Elders
  • Traditional medicines (such as sweetgrass, sage, cedar, tobacco plant)
  • Fees and supplies for Indigenous ceremonies (such as sweat lodges, healing circles, smudge kits).

Recently, Sun Life created a category for these services, making it easier for you to make a claim. If you are eligible for the PSA, you will see the Indigenous health services category when you are making a claim through the Sun Life member portal.
