Learn how to make interviews more accessible and inclusive for job applicants with the new Accessible Interviewing and Accommodations course.

The Centre for Workplace Accessibility has recently launched a new course on Accessible Interviewing and Accommodations. This virtual self-paced course is especially for hiring managers and those involved in recruitment, providing guidance on making interviews more accessible, and creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where all job candidates can showcase their strengths and skills.

Many disabilities are invisible and not all disabled candidates will feel safe or comfortable to request accommodations during the recruitment process. Inaccessible interview practices could be creating barriers that result in hiring managers missing out on excellent candidates. Hiring managers can take steps to proactively remove these barriers to allow disabled candidates to thrive in the interview.

This course provides a space to refine interview practices to increase accessibility, review examples of accommodations that may be requested and increase confidence in responding to those accommodations requests.

Learn more about all the considerations involved when interviewing job candidates (CWL required).

Take the course.
