International Women’s Day (IWD) takes place annually on March 8 to recognize and celebrate women’s achievements, challenge biases, and reflect on and advance efforts towards greater gender equality. Across research, education, university services and student life, women at UBC are making a difference in the lives of others every day.
By challenging and calling out gender bias and inequality, we can all help create a more inclusive UBC.
- Attend an upcoming event, including a Women in Mathematics Panel and Social, the Seventh Annual Women’s Health Research Symposium, a dialogue session on women’s health, and an Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-thon 2022 to help correct Wikipedia’s gender biases and improve content.
- Add a note to the interactive celebration wall to recognize a colleague, and share advice, ideas, and ways to get involved in IWD.
