Vote in this year’s UBC Staff Pension Plan (SPP) Board Election and By-Election

An election and by-election are now underway for members to join the UBC Staff Pension Plan (SPP) Board. All Plan members are encouraged to vote.

  • The election is for TWO members to serve a four-year term from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2026.

  • The by-election is for ONE member to serve a two-year term from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2024. The by-election is to replace a Board member who is resigning from their position at the end of 2022.

Read the candidate statements and vote online. Voting closes at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2022.

The SPP Board has the responsibility of recommending Plan policy and procedure improvements to the University, including the Plan’s investment asset mix. As a Plan member, you have an opportunity to determine who will sit on the SPP Board and represent the interests of Plan members.
