The Indigenous Learning Pathways program has added new engagement events to support learners in completing the ILP program.
The Indigenous Learning Program (ILP) team is collaborating with project partners around campus to host several upcoming events aimed at helping learners engage more fully with course material, complete different ILP course requirements, and connect with colleagues across UBC. View two of the upcoming events below, with future events still being planned.
Please note that the following new engagement events are available only to those registered in the ILP program (8 hours total time commitment over 4 courses). To take advantage of these learning events, register for ILP now!

Belkin Decolonization Tour

- Walking tour around campus
In addition to completing online course content, going on the tour fulfills the completion requirement for ILP course two: Engaging with Indigenous knowledges and perspectives.
UBCO updates
Additional links and resources have been added for UBCO learners, enabling them to access more relevant content as they go through their learning journey.
Land acknowledgements at UBC course
The previous Land acknowledgements at UBC course that was available via the Workplace Learning Ecosystem has now been removed as a standalone course and is no longer accessible on its own. This course has now been incorporated into the ILP program, available as the fourth course in the 4 total courses that make up ILP programming.
This decision was made intentionally to promote deeper engagement with how the UBC community composes and makes use of land acknowledgements in their work, and to enable learners to have an increased personal knowledge and awareness to draw on when developing their own authentic and thoughtful acknowledgement.
