The Government of British Columbia is increasing the provincial minimum wage, effective June 1, 2021.
The new minimum wage hourly amount is:

As of June 1, 2021, UBC’s Integrated Service Centre (ISC) department will automatically raise the hourly rate of any employees paid below the new minimum wage to the new rate of $15.20/hour in Workday.
If your faculty or department has salaried students, please ensure that their salary is at least equivalent to the minimum wage for the number of hours they work.
Moving forward, please ensure that all appointments are reflective of the new BC minimum wage.
