Thank you for participating in the 2024 Workplace Experiences Survey

WES achieves its highest ever participation rate in 2024.

The 2024 Workplace Experiences Survey (WES) ran November 4 – 26 and all UBC faculty and staff were invited to take part and share their feedback on working at UBC.

We reached a milestone with our highest ever response rate for a UBC-wide workplace experience survey! Over 9000 faculty and staff participated in WES this year, with a 50% overall response rate across both campuses. We are thrilled by this outcome as we know that higher participation ensures units and departments will have more representative insights to inform more targeted actions around workplace experience.

What comes next: WES reports and action planning

By late-February 2025, portfolio-level insight reports will be shared with the UBC Executive Leadership team, and unit-level insight reports will be distributed to the respective senior HR leaders. A unit-level report is generated for each unit with 5 or more responses. UBC faculty and staff will also be invited to an open session to learn more about high-level UBC results from the WES.

Curious about your unit’s results?

Connect with your local HR contact to learn more once the results are made available by March 2025.
