Join the in-person Welcome to UBC orientation event

After three years of offering virtual orientation events, we will now be offering both virtual and in-person events for new hires.

Next month, we will be hosting the signature Welcome to UBC event in-person at the Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre.

If you have staff who joined your team in the past six months (after September 2022) and have not attended the Welcome to UBC event virtually, please encourage them to register for this in-person opportunity. New staff are invited directly by Nick Yee, Programs Manager, Employee Experience, however your encouragement is appreciated!

The Welcome to UBC orientation event is offered exclusively to new hires during their first couple of months upon joining UBC. The purpose of the event is for staff to begin to recognize our priorities as an institution, to better understand the value that our diversity, skills and experiences bring to the community, and to create connections with other new colleagues. Staff leave feeling a greater sense of pride and belonging as a new member of the UBC community.
