Effective July 1, 2021, extended health plan members and their covered dependents do not have to submit a doctor’s referral to obtain reimbursement for eligible massage therapy claims.

UBC’s extended health benefits plan provides coverage for licensed massage therapists and physiotherapists, up to a combined maximum of $500 (For CUPE 2950) or $750 (for all other UBC employee groups) per member per year.
