Updated New to UBC orientation course for new faculty and staff in Vancouver

The New to UBC orientation course for new faculty and staff in Vancouver has been updated to reflect employee feedback.

We continuously reflect our university-wide orientation course to be the most up-to-date, fulsome and interactive resource for new faculty and staff. Based on feedback from you and many recent new employees, we've made substantial changes to the content and launched an updated New to UBC Vancouver Orientation Course on Canvas Catalog which includes:

  • An improved course structure with additional modules
  • Interactive features, such as videos, to create a more engaging online experience
  • Newly developed content with our university partners, including topics such as spots on campus to eat, athletics and recreation opportunities, information about employment groups and varied work experiences – and more!

New staff at the Vancouver campus are contacted during their first days by our Employee Experience Program Manager to enrol in the course and attend our university-wide orientation events.

If you have questions regarding the migration of this course, please contact Nick Yee.
