Are you looking for ways to get moving? UBC Recreation offers a variety of different options for physical activity.  

Visit a fitness centre or take a class 

You can visit one of the two fitness centres on campus, The BirdCoop and ARC, which offers memberships at a reduced cost for faculty and staff. Learn more about the membership pricing and hours.  

Another way to get active are fitness classes such as Full Body Boot Camp, Vinyasa Yoga, Circuit Boot Camp, and more. Learn more about the schedule and how to register.  

Discounts for faculty and staff 

Faculty and staff receive discounts on a number of UBC Recreation events and activities, including: 

  • UBC Aquatic Centre membership, lessons and aqua fitness programs 
  • Tennis cinics and other adult programs at the UBC Tennis Centre 
  • Adult hockey skills and skating programs 

UBC Recreation is currently offering faculty and staff the opportunity to get moving from anywhere in partnership with ClassPass. UBC faculty and staff will receive discounted memberships for ClassPass, a membership pass that provides you with access to on-demand, livestream and in-person classes to boutique studios like HUSTLE, Lagree West, Formation Studio, and more.
