Registration is now open for the next cohort of our New to UBC Vancouver Connections Program.
We’re excited to be launching our fifth cohort of the New to UBC Vancouver Connections program to support new hires in connecting with other new faculty and staff across the university.
What is the New to UBC Vancouver Connections Program?
The New to UBC Vancouver Connections program is a self-directed, cohort-based program for new faculty and staff within their first year of employment at UBC Vancouver. This program is a great way for you to connect with people outside of your team or department who may be in a similar role as you or share similar professional interests.
Participants will be matched into groups of 4-5 based on their responses to an intake survey form. Throughout the six months, group members have the flexibility to decide how often to meet and the type of activities they engage in.
Further details regarding eligibility, time commitment, and program objectives can be found on the New to UBC Vancouver Connections Program page.

The 2026 Winter cohort will take place between December 2025 and May 2026.
| October 17 – November 7, 2025 | Program intake form open for UBC Vancouver faculty and staff. The cohort has limited spots available and enrollment may close earlier if capacity is reached. |
