Staff PD funds exhausted for Non-union Technicians and Research Assistants employee group

There is no further funding available this fiscal year for Non-union Technicians and Research Assistants

The annual professional development (PD) funding pool for the Non-union Technicians and Research Assistants employee group has been exhausted as of September 11 due to a high volume of PD Fund claims submitted during the first half of the current funding year.

This means that the PD Fund for Non-union Technicians and Research Assistants is now closed to submissions and no further PD fund claims (expense reports or request forms) will be accepted or reimbursed through Workday for the reminder of the current funding year, i.e. from September 11, 2024 through March 31, 2025.

The PD Fund for Non-union Technicians and Research Assistants will refresh and open again as of April 1, 2025, the start of the new funding year. At that time, staff may submit claims in Workday for PD Fund expenses incurred within 90 days of their claim submission date.

This PD fund closure notice applies only to the Non-union Technicians and Research Assistants employee group. To learn more about the staff PD fund and the current details for all other employee groups, visit the Staff professional development funding page.
