Login to your UBC career account to set up your job alert. Your account login will depend on the role you're seeking:

Current UBC employees

If you are an active UBC employee, you must create an account and then activate Job Alerts (available via the top right corner once you're logged in) you will not be able to log in with your regular CWL credentials, but must create a new account within the external UBC Careers site. However, if you are an internal applicant, do not apply for a job through the external career site. Instead, login to your employee Workday profile and use the Career application to apply in order be recognized by the system as an internal candidate.

You can filter your job alert by job type. Job Type reflects a combination of characteristics about bargaining unit and job performance.

The UBC coach community 

UBC Coaching Services is powered by a vibrant community of certified, values-driven coaches who support staff and faculty across the university.

UBC Coaches are internal or external professionals who are connected to the university and committed to contributing their coaching expertise in service of learning, growth, and wellbeing.

Who can become a UBC coach?

We welcome expressions of interest from:

  • Current or former UBC employees
  • Professionals with a strong connection to UBC 
  • Certified coaches with credentials from ICF, EMCC, or other accredited programs 

All UBC Coaches must have completed a recognized coaching certification at time of application. 

What is the commitment? 

We aim to keep participation flexible and sustainable 

  • Credentialed coaches: 12 coaching hours per year 
  • Newly certified coaches: 48 coaching hours in the first 12 months
  • Minimum commitment: 2 years, as a new coach

Coaches offer coaching at no cost to UBC faculty and staff.

What do coaches recieve? 

In exchange for their contribution, UBC Coaches gain access to:

  • Access to free training and CCEUs
  • Connection to a like-minded and supportive coaching community
  • Opportunities to make meaningful impact across UBC
  • Professional development resources and learning opportunities
  • Invitations to community gatherings and optional events 

Application process

When Expressions of Interest are open, the process typically includes:

  1. Submission of credentials and an online application
  2. An intake and alignment conversation with the Coaching Services team 

Successful applicants are onboarded to the UBC Coaching Community, introduced to our Terms of Affiliation, and provided with orientation materials

Explore coach training

UBC Coaches come from a wide range of accredited training programs. If you are considering formalizing your coaching competencies by investing in an accredited coach training program, below are some programs to explore.

Coaching internship program

The Coaching Internship Program (subject to funding) supports UBC employees who are enrolled in accredited coach training programs by offering:

  • Practical experience coaching UBC staff and faculty
  • Professional development and mentorship
  • Partial funding towards the tuition cost of the accredited coach training program of your choice
