SensusAccess Conversion Form — UBC students
A free, easy-to-use online tool that enables UBC students to convert print and digital material into multiple accessible formats.
This form is intended for UBC students. If you are not a student, please use this faculty and staff SensusAccess form instead (log in with your CWL).
Accessible parking for faculty and staff
Find accessible parking options at UBC for faculty and staff with disabilities or medical conditions.
Designated accessible parking
Designated accessible parking is available across both UBC campuses. Parking lots with accessible parking stalls can be viewed on the UBC Parking websites for each campus – just select the ‘accessible parking’ filter.
Accessible parking is specially designed and reserved for individuals with disabilities that limit mobility. These stalls are clearly marked with either the International Symbol of Access or the Dynamic Symbol of Accessibility.
Cost
Standard rates and fees apply when parking in a designated accessible parking spot. Prices vary by lot and permit type.
- UBCV: No accessibility accommodation zone number is required
- UBCO: Contact okanagan.parking@ubc.ca to obtain the accessibility accommodation zone number when paying with HONK mobile. This is not required if you pay for parking through payroll deductions
SPARC permits
To park in an accessible parking stall, you must display a valid SPARC permit.
Learn more about the SPARC program, including eligibility and the application process, by reviewing the SPARC FAQ page.
Accessible parking without a SPARC permit
We recognize that some employees may have a disability-related need that affects their ability to travel between their vehicle and their workplace but do not yet have, or may not anticipate qualifying for, a SPARC permit.
If this applies to you, please contact the CWA. We will schedule a meeting to learn more about your specific situation. If medical documentation is not already on file, we will provide you with a medical form for your healthcare provider to complete. With your consent, we will work with you and UBC Parking to explore appropriate short-term or urgent parking accommodation options.
