    12:00pm - 1:00pm. This session will offer the opportunity to unpack UBC’s Conflict Engagement Initiative by exploring ways to frame conflict, gaining insights into our experiences of resistance, and identifying some options for engaging in conflict.

    10:00am - 11:20am. It’s hard to see others -- let alone have a conversation! – when stumbling in the opposing trenches of some difficult conversations. During this session, we will discuss research-informed practices to help turn difficult conversations into opportunities for the construction of mutual understanding.

    QPR - Suicide Intervention Training

    1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. QPR Suicide Intervention Training is an internationally recognized suicide intervention program designed to help you question, persuade, and refer. UBC offers free QPR Training for students, staff, and faculty to help them recognize suicide warning signs, approach someone who may be at risk, persuade the person to seek appropriate health services, and connect the person to resources that will help resolve crises.

    10 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Join Erin McCarthy, Ph.D. to build your self-compassion in multiple ways in this 4-week bilingual foundations class. Each week, we will explore different practices, teachings, discussion or writing exercises all designed to help you build a foundation of mindful self-compassion.
