UBC Optional Group Life Insurance – An option when you need more life insurance coverage

If you’re looking to add more life insurance coverage, UBC’s Optional Life Insurance Plan might be right for you.

Optional Life Insurance provides supplementary life insurance coverage in addition to your Basic Group Life Insurance. You are eligible to apply for Optional Employee Group Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) coverage if you are under the age of 71, actively at work, actively enrolled in the Basic Group Life Insurance coverage and not receiving your UBC pension. You may also apply for Optional Spousal Group Life Insurance and AD&D coverage if you are under the age of 65, actively at work and actively enrolled in the Basic Group Life Insurance coverage.
