New notifications added to Workday will flag a variety of HR events for managers.
Starting April 1, managers will begin receiving notifications in Workday for certain HR events that may require their attention. These notifications will be sent monthly (the first of every month) in order to ensure data accuracy, allowing managers to stay up to date on key HR activities in Workday.
HR notification trigger events
View the HR events that will trigger notifications to managers in Workday:
- Upcoming probation date for an employee
- Employee's employment End Date is approaching or passed
- Contingent Worker expiring contract
- Return to work from a leave of absence
- Job Requisitions open for over 90 days (staff) and 365 days (faculty)
- Employee with incomplete onboarding tasks
Additionally, employees will get a notification if they are missing their direct deposit information on their Workday profile.
Central HR worked with the Integrated Service Centre (ISC) to add these additional notifications, which will allow managers to take a proactive approach in managing their teams while also ensuring a high standard of data accuracy.
Email preferences in Workday
Depending on your email preferences in Workday, you may receive an email as well as a notification in Workday. You have the option to reduce the frequency or opt out of Workday email notifications.
