General Wage Increase implementation for BCGEU Childcare

Please be advised that the General Wage Increase (GWI) for staff under the BCGEU Childcare employee group has been completed. Two GWIs, $0.25/hour + 3.24% effective May 1, 2022, and 6.75% effective May 1, 2023, were reflected on the July 31, 2023, pay cheque.

General Wage Increase implementation for non-union employee groups

Please be advised that the General Wage Increase (GWI) for staff under the Executive Administrative Staff and Farm Workers employee groups has been completed. Two GWIs, $0.25/hour + 3.24% effective July 1, 2022, and 6.75% effective July 1, 2023, were reflected on the July 31, 2023, pay cheque.

Implementation of the GWI for staff under the Non-Union Technicians and Research Assistants employee group is tentatively being planned for September or October. More information will be shared after the timeline is finalized.

As a reminder, please continue to use the current 2021 salary scales until GWI has been implemented for employees in the Non-Union Technicians and Research Assistants and AAPS employee groups. GWI for new hires will be included in the implementation process.
