Staff: Submit your Professional Development Fund claims by March 15

The dates below are no longer in use. Please refer to the updated announcement posted February 23.

A reminder to staff and research associates use available professional development (PD) funding and submit your claims through Workday by March 15.

For the current PD funding year (April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021), staff and research associates are welcome to submit claims on a first-come, first-served basis until the annual funding pool is exhausted or by March 15, whichever comes first.

New deadline for submitting your PD Fund claims in Workday

Professional Development Fund claims are now entered and approved in Workday, without the need to fill additional forms or sign any papers. Your manager or supervisor will approve your claim directly in Workday.

To meet year-end deadlines:

  • Staff and Research Associates, please submit your reimbursement claim in Workday by Monday, March 15.
  • Managers and Supervisors, please review and approve all claims in Workday no later than Thursday, March 25.

PD Funds are intended to encourage learning activities that will enhance your knowledge or skills and support your career growth at the university. Prior to making purchase or submitting a claim for reimbursement, check the Professional Development Funding page for fund guidelines as well as updates on remaining funding pool balances.

Visit the Integrated Service Centre for Workday resources and support.
