Non-union Technicians and Research Assistants PD Fund: limited funding available

As of November 1, the Professional Development (PD) Fund for staff in the Non-union Technicians and Research Assistants employee group has a funding pool balance of approximately $10,000 available to be claimed by eligible staff.

We anticipate that this remaining balance will exhaust within the next 5 to 7 business days due to incoming claim submissions. Once the balance has exhausted we will no longer accept claims in Workday for this current funding year (April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024).

To assist with your claim submission planning, the Staff Professional Development Fund page will be updated with the remaining balance on a daily basis.

If you belong to the Non-union Technicians and Research Assistants employee group and submit a claim in Workday after November 1, there is a possibility that your claim will not be accepted for funding due to the anticipated early exhaustion of the funding pool. We process claims on a first-come, first-served basis. If the overall funding exhausts prior to processing your claim, your claim will not be reimbursed.

This notice applies only to the Non-union Technicians and Research Assistants employee group. The PD Funds for all other staff employee groups are anticipated to accommodate claim submissions for the remainder of the current funding year.
