Stat Holiday and the Intergenerational March to Commemorate Orange Shirt Day
Each year on September 30, people across Canada wear orange and participate in Orange Shirt Day to recognize and raise awareness about the history and legacies of the residential school system in Canada. A reminder that UBC will observe this day — the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation — as a statutory day on both campuses.
