Sports Day is one of the largest events organized for faculty and staff, taking place across UBC Vancouver and UBC Okanagan.

Teams from departments across both campuses participate in a variety of fun, recreational challenges that can only be accomplished through teamwork, collaboration, and team spirit. This year was our first ever virtual UBC Faculty and Staff Sports Week!

Here are some highlights:

  • Participants: 612 
  • Teams: 119 | Individuals:16  
  • 90%+ of teams completed at least one activity 
  • 8,342,001 steps completed. That’s 14 times from UBCO to UBCV! 
  • 300+ hours of activities completed
