Ergo your posture

COVID-19 safety measures mean that many of us are staying home, sitting more and moving less. We may be feeling fatigued, experiencing discomfort and gaining weight. We can no longer count on commuting to the office, walking to meetings or getting up to visit the copy machine to get us moving but we can make a conscious effort to interrupt sitting.

Join us Wednesdays at 10am for live Ergo Your Posture sessions. We will go through a set of light exercises that you can do at your desk. These exercises were developed by Allan McGavin Physio at UBC. They selected these exercises to target some of the common postural concerns that they see in their clinic, particularly related to office work but suitable for anyone.

  • Sign-up for a calendar invite to our live sessions.
  • Download our poster and the exercises at your convenience.
  • Watch a recorded session (15 minutes) anytime.
  • Check out our Fitting in Movement Guide to find other resources including links to UBC Rec to help you to incorporate positional change in your day.

As we show you the exercises, participate as best you can, but keep the exercises within a comfortable range. Follow-up with your Healthcare Provider if you're not sure what is right for you.
