The annual UBC United Way Campaign is now underway. Giving back adds to your sense of purpose, connection, and wellbeing. Coping with climate change: three steps to supporting emotional wellbeing
Do you feel overwhelmed by the impacts of climate change? If so, you are not alone. Climate change increasingly affects how individuals and communities experience mental health and wellbeing. Coping with the impacts of climate change may leave us feeling helpless and hopeless. However, eco-anxiety and eco-grief are also adaptive and normal responses to a profound global threat. It is important that we maintain and build our resilience in response to climate change.

September 30 - Orange Shirt Day & National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
2021 is the first year that September 30, a day we know as Orange Shirt Day, will be recognized as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and be observed as a holiday in BC. Orange Shirt Day is a day when we wear orange shirts to honour residential school survivors and Phyllis Webstad’s story.
