We'll help you with a summary of Canadian immigration processes and how they apply to those in different positions at UBC. It's your responsibility, however, to stay up to date with immigration information for your specific situation.
The Government of Canada is reinstating some COVID-19 border and travel measures for air travelers from China:
As of January 5, at 12:01 am (EST) all air travelers, 2 years of age and older, arriving from the People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong, or Macao must show a negative COVID-19 test result, taken no more than 2 days before their departure to the airline in order to board their flight. For more information, please visit the government website.”
Requirements and work permits
Details of what's required for you and accompanying family members to enter Canada will depend on two things: the type of appointment you've been offered, and your citizenship.
