UBC is committed to publishing annual pay transparency reports in alignment with the Pay Transparency Act.
In compliance with the Government of British Columbia’s Pay Transparency Act, UBC reports annually on pay transparency starting November 1, 2024.
UBC is one of the largest employers in BC, with a wide range of roles and diverse pay scales to operate a university and also a quasi-municipality. The university employs student and research positions, to trades, technical staff, administrative, management and professional roles, and faculty and teaching positions, the majority of whom are covered by nine collective or employment agreements with eight unions and associations across our two campuses.
We strive to build on UBC’s inclusive environment where everyone is valued and rewarded equitably for their contributions. This commitment brings a rich diversity to UBC as a workplace, and creates the necessary conditions for innovation and excellence.
