The annual funding pool for the Non-union Technicians and Research Assistants employee group has exhausted as of November 9 due to a high volume of PD Fund claims submitted by staff belonging to this particular employee group during the first half of the April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024 funding year.

As of November 1, the Professional Development (PD) Fund for staff in the Non-union Technicians and Research Assistants employee group has a funding pool balance of approximately $10,000 available to be claimed by eligible staff.

Contingent Worker contracts will auto-terminate on end date unless extended, starting November 1
Due to many contingent workers remaining on UBC systems beyond their contract end date, starting November 1, 2023, Workday will automatically end contracts on their expected end date to ensure contingent workers do not have access to Workday and other UBC systems past their end date.
